A winning collaboration between Cabasse's world class acoustic expertise and Canon's cutting edge digital electronic know how. This coalescent of know-how combines to form the stunning L'Ocean loudspeaker system.
Utilising the superb TC23 tri-axial driver array, (As found in La' Sphere) together with a brand new purpose designed 15 inch honeycomb diaphragm woofer. The bespoke drivers in turn coupled to 2250W rms of high quality Canon inspired digital amplification gives a sublime performance. The L'Ocean can generate sound pressure level up to 117dB without distortion if required or produce whisper quiet clarity at conversation levels
The digital amplification, which ranges from 250W for the tweeter, right up to a mighty 1Kw for the 15 inch woofer is mounted discretely in the base of each speaker. Connection to the CRCS controller and pre-amplifier are made via optical and SPDIF interfaces. Cabasse L'Ocean can be fed with 96 KHz digital signals directly as can accept traditional analogue inputs which are digitised before entering the DSP section of the controller.
The Cabasse Room Compensation Controller (CRCS) enables automatic room adaption of the speaker's responses to individual room acoustics. Simply and easily, through its bespoke hardware and software control systems. All this ensures a very natural sound with minimal corrections. Cabasse's unique software also incorporates a psycho-acoustic algorithm which takes into account the specific characteristics of the individual drive units. Each speaker is fitted with a phase linear digital filter which optimises frequency response due to its very accurate variable cross over slopes (Up to 94dB) .Which in turn generates incredibly accurate driver time alignment to create a true 'point source' system.
All of these truly great innovations add up to a wonderfully natural and realistic musical presentation that is captivating and totally immersive. The Cabasse L'Ocean can generate almost limitless headroom, with uncompressed sounds that capture the correctness and true realism of the musical performance.
